SKATEBOARD PARK

  • Completed in 1995 at a cost of over $50,000, this facility which is now administered by the City of Abbotsford provides a safe environment for skateboarders to practice their sport.  It has also been a venue for skateboard competitions.

CANADA DAY

  • Each year we host a pancake breakfast for the entire community prior to the start of the Canada Day Parade. Usually  we serve approx. 400 breakfasts.

SOAPBOX DERBY

  • Soapbox racing is back in a big way. Our annual event attracts racers from all over the lower mainland and from as far away as Kamloops. It's an exciting day as the young racers compete to see who will be "King or Queen of the Hill".

HISTORICA FAIR

  • An event which tests club members' flippin' skills is the pancake breakfast that we host as a part of the annual Historica Fair.  School children who enter the Fair are our guests - for everyone else it's regular price!

SPORTS

  • We promote local youth sport  by sponsoring  junior golf and junior curling. We are always looking for new projects and programs and would welcome suggestions.

BURSARIES

  • Club members recognize that schooling is expensive and so we annually award a $1,000 bursary to one graduating student from each of the local high schools.

FAMILY FESTIVAL

  • An annual day of free fun, games and entertainment for children held at MSA Museum. This event is proving to be very popular with up to 200 children and parents coming to enjoy the day.

PARTNERSHIPS

  • In addition to our own projects we assist other organizations such as the Juvenile Diabetes Assn., Special Ventures, Abbotsford Continuing Education and other Community Groups.
